What a beautiful moon is shining on my doorstep tonight. Yes! The Harvest Moon is at a direct angle to my door. I stepped outside in a flowing gown tonight to greet the moon and was awed and inspired by her position. Thank You!
I am enjoying the season so much. Everyday I am trying to leave intentionally for the beauty of All Hallow's Eve.
Friday I pulled out my Llewellyn Sabbat Almanac and read about Samhain. Interestingly, I got the chance to take Irish Gaelic last year and our teacher, from Ireland, told us the Irish version of things. Lovely. They pronounce it a bit differently than "Sow-in" as most of us have been taught here and it sounds a bit more like "sayvane" or along those lines, but different parts of Ireland have wildly different ways of speaking the language.
Yesterday I came down with the flu and the best I could do was tend my poor dear indoor Mum. I am worried about her. I think I overwatered her. Usually I grow mums outside, but my apartment doesn't allow that.
Today I am still ill, but I got out some spooky, gorgeous Halloween decorations. Mostly I keep what people would consider Halloween items up all year, as I consider my decorating style to be pseudo Victorian Gothic punk eclectic.
I enjoyed the moon tonight and I pray I get better soon.
